There will be a qualifier round in this tournament to determine seeding in the bracket. This round will be the same length as others.
Seeding from qualfier round into main bracket will work as follows:
Ideally, there will be an even number of teams for a bracket (8, 16, 32, 64). If this is true, then teams seed traditionally.
If we are close to an even number, but just short (e.g., 14 teams), then we treat the bracket as 16 teams and the top seeded teams will get a bye in the first round.
If we are close to an even number, but have a few extra teams (e.g., 18 teams), then we treat the bracket as 16 teams and the lowest seeded teams are dropped.
If your team is dropped from the tournament due to low seeding, your entry fee is still forfeited. Qualifying rounds are very important!
